hi munchies. of course we know the morewhole foods we can get the better. the more we can make on our own the better. butwe don't always have time to be as perfect as we'd like and that's okay. some people say 'i don'thave time to prepare food or meal prep' or whatever it may be and that is allowed.some people really don't have time or
easy diets uk, maybe some people do have time but theyjust have other things i'd rather be doing and that allowed too. you have todecide what is more worth it your time or your money and for me it's a little bit ofboth, so here are 10 convenience food that could be worth your money if you don't want togive our don't have the time.
first-up pre-packaged or pre cutvegetables and produce. so save yourself the hours each week that you might spendcutting produce and buy it pre cut. think about the savings i might spend 50% moremoney wise but if i save 3 hours that can be worth it. it depends on you, yourlifestyle, and your needs. since some of us have taken on the veggie challenge fulltime this week these may come in handy. thumbs up for making veggie cutting lessstressful. frozen produce. frozen fruits and vegetables are great options forquick meals on busy nights. not only are the vegetables precut but you can storethem for a long time without having to worry about them going bad and usingthem up quickly enough. bagged greens. so bagged
greens will save you the time of removing thestems and cleaning the greens. you really just have to lightly rinse the bagged greensand they're ready to go. precooked chicken either refrigerated orfrozen. so cooking protein is maybe the most daunting part of the meal prep forme and you can still meal prep with prepackaged chicken whether it isrefrigerated or frozen. rotisserie chicken. this is a go-to for me. it'sless processed. i know when it has been cooked. you can buy organic if you'd like andthe meat is ready to be eaten at my convenience. i can either pull the meatoff the chicken at once and have it ready for the week or i can eat theentire thing as i go. premade soups.
soups are a savior for me on busy nights wheni literally don't even have time to throw anything together. i can just pour some soup into a bowl, heat it up, boom easy dinner or at least part of a dinner. i docaution you to read the labels to make sure that you're getting a soup that doesn'thave an unnecessarily high amount of sodium or added ingredients like sugarand fillers. so already hard boiled eggs. i hate hard boiling eggs. you neverreally know if they're going to work. even if you do everything exactly right and you still wait for that moment when you peel it open and pray that it's done andnot over or under boiled. when i buy the hard-boiled eggs at the store not onlyare they boiled perfectly they are pre
peeled and honestly these are usuallynot even more expensive than the whole eggs. jarred pasta sauce. so nothing quitecompares to a homemade pasta sauce. i love my homemade pasta sauce and when ido decide to make it i make a lot of it and i freeze it. but when i don't wannamake it i just go with the store bought. just make sure you choose one that doesn'thave sugar as an added ingredient or too much oil it isn't necessary. not all pasta sauces are created equal.jazz up your store bought pasta sauce by adding in veggie purees or freshvegetables. canned beans. convenience at its finest. if you have never cookeduncooked beans to reconstitute them
trust me it takes time and soaking andpreparation and mostly it isn't hard but it takes time. i always have canned beans in mypantry. i buy the no salt added or the low sodium versions and then i justdrain and rinse them in a colander before using them so that i am incontrol of how they are seasoned it's like i cooked them myself. instant brown rice. soinstant or boil in bag brown rice is actually just as nutritious as cookingthe rice traditionally and brown rice is of course a winner in the whole grainsdepartment. just try to get the plain and not the flavored varieties because theycan have a lot of added sodium and flavor additives. flavor it yourself instead.so are you someone that finds
convenience foods useful or do you prefer to do it all on your own and spend the time rather than the money? comment below and let me know. rememberthere is no right or wrong and if these convenience foods can help you stay ontrack because you just know you aren't gonna do it on your own then more powerto you and that is totally cool. do what works for you and #redefinehealth. i hopeyou have a wonderful day and remember it's all a matter of mind over munch.
