quick, easy and highly customizable, besanchillas are perfect for a tasty breakfast or evening snack. we start by sifting the gram flour or besaninto a mixing bowl. the sifting helps prevent lumps and givesus a nicely smooth mixture. to this add in some salt for seasoning
easy diet breakfast, also drop in a little asafoetida or hing whichhelps with digestion. give this a good amount of red chilli flakesfor a much needed spice hit. you can add less if you canĂ¢€™t handle theheat. now add some kasuri methi for that earthygoodness
now mix it all up with a whisk. the whisking helps take care of any peskylumps. start adding water, a little at a time. whisk as you pour it in. you want a slightly runny consistency, thinnerthan a dosa batter. if you accidentally add too much water, don'tworry, just add in some more flour to compensate. and you'll be fine. chop up some vegetables to make your chillahealthier. we'll cut some onions really fine.
don't cut your veggies too chunky becauseyou want your chilla to be thin and smooth. cut up some tomatoes too. these go fabulously well with besan so area highly recommended addition. and you always need some freshness which canbe achieved by adding a generous dash of coriander. customise the chilla to your taste! remember to have fun with it. evenly mix all these through in a hot pan pour some oil. then carefully spoon in your chilla mix.
spread it around if the veggies topple ontoeach other. give it a couple minutes on the first side. when you start seeing the small bubbles you'reset to flip. cook the second side for 2 to 3 minutes. you want these to still feel tender. if overcooked, they will become chewy you want to cook this on medium heat, if cookedtoo fast the outside will darken but the middle will remain uncooked. serve these hot and fresh.
